This is the cast iron baffle plate including the stainless steel tertiary air unit that sits at the rear of the stove deflecting the heat and flue gases forward to increase the efficiency of the stove and give the clean burn effect. This part plays a very important role in the efficiency of the stove so should be replaced if it has been burned through or is warping badly.
